KT is expanding its partnerships by investing 20 billion KRW in domestic artificial intelligence (AI) startups.
On the 10th, KT announced that it has signed a 20 billion KRW equity investment and strategic partnership agreement with startups Upstage and Qanda to expand large-scale AI technology.
On the 7th, at the M360 APAC Conference held at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, Kim Young-seop, CEO of KT, and Lee Yong-jae, CEO of Qanda, met to discuss AI business collaboration.
View original imageUpstage has demonstrated world-class generative AI performance, and Qanda is an education-specialized startup ranked number one in education applications across 20 countries.
Through this partnership, KT plans to target the AI B2B market with Upstage by developing ▲enterprise-dedicated large language model (LLM) solutions ▲B2B domain-specialized LLM development, among other initiatives.
With Qanda, KT will collaborate on ▲education domain-specialized large language model development ▲AI expansion in education platforms, focusing on AI B2C service development.
KT aims to strengthen its competitiveness in commercializing large-scale AI and create an open AI ecosystem starting with this partnership. To this end, KT plans to continue business cooperation and investments with more AI startups in the future.
Additionally, KT will pool group capabilities to prepare competitive large-scale AI services for corporate clients by developing enterprise-dedicated large-scale AI products with enhanced corporate security for the public and financial sectors.
