LG Uplus is launching the metaverse campus 'Virtual Campus' in collaboration with Yonsei University.

Yonsei University has set the 'introduction of an online education platform and the full-scale use of virtual spaces for education' as a task under the Ministry of Education's University Innovation Support Project. In June, it began implementing the Virtual Campus, a virtual space where students can enjoy campus life identical to reality, through LG Uplus's metaverse platform 'UVERSE.'
Yonsei University's Virtual Campus vividly recreates symbolic buildings of the Sinchon Campus in 3D, including the Stimson Hall, Appenzeller Hall, Underwood Hall, and the open-air theater.
In particular, the open-air theater is designed to accommodate up to 1,000 users, enabling large-scale events such as the 'Regular Yonsei-Korea University Joint Cheer Event' and 'Akaraka (Festival)'.
In the metaverse space, Yonsei University has enhanced immersion with various content such as ▲chatting with professors and students ▲checking course status, announcements, and schedules ▲watching game-style lectures ▲customizing avatars using Yonsei University goods.
