The Mobility Labworks Series represents LG Electronics' advanced projects and experimental technologies under the theme 'Experience future mobility your way.'
The three vehicle displays unveiled by LG Electronics this time feature display technologies that implement various form factors such as rollable, flexible, and foldable.
The 'Min&Max Display' applies a 'Pillar-to-Pillar P-OLED display' that integrates three screens ? the instrument cluster, central information display (CID), and co-pilot display (CDD) ? into one. The display is bent in an L-shape structure, allowing users to selectively utilize the wide or narrow surface depending on the situation and purpose.
The 'Pop&Fold Display' consists of three displays hidden within a slim dashboard that are exposed when the user desires. This design enhances the utilization of space inside the vehicle. In the center, there is an 18-inch large central information display using foldable P-OLED technology, and on both sides, two displays rotate 90 degrees to serve as the instrument cluster and co-pilot display, respectively.
The 'Flex&Slide Display' uses P-OLED to adjust the degree of screen curvature according to the customer's situation or the content being played. The fully flat screen can be used for watching video content or navigation, while bending the screen maximally allows the lower part to function as a keyboard and the upper part as a search screen.
Along with this, the two digital cockpit concepts revealed by LG Electronics incorporate various technologies in areas such as displays, connectivity, and HMI (Human Machine Interface).
They include ▲rollable displays, ▲driver and passenger monitoring systems (Cabin Monitoring System), and ▲5G communication-based V2X (Vehicle to Everything) technology, offering a glimpse of future technologies enjoyed inside vehicles. Additionally, the latest IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) software platform that integrates control of all displays inside the vehicle is also installed.
