41st Debut Anniversary, Baritone Go Seong-hyun Performing on Stage with Students... 'Leaning on Time' at Mapo Culture Center on the 12th

Baritone Go Seong-hyun will meet the audience with a colorful stage composed of opera arias, art songs, and crossover music, together with his disciple and fellow soprano Kim Sun-young, tenor Shin Sang-geun, and cellist Kim Min-ji.

View original imageThe Mapo Cultural Foundation announced on the 7th that the 8th M Classic Festival 'Go Seong-hyun & Friends "Leaning on Time"' will be held at 8 p.m. on the 12th at the Mapo Art Center Art Hall Mac.
Go Seong-hyun is a world-renowned vocalist who employs traditional bel canto singing. During his studies abroad, he gained fame by winning prestigious international competitions such as the Puccini International Competition in Italy, the Madama Butterfly International Competition, the Stuttgart Opera House International Competition in Germany, and the Milan International Competition in Italy.
He was later awarded the Ok-gwan Cultural Medal and the Presidential Award, as well as the 32nd Nanpa Music Award, the Young Musician Award (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award), and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award in the field of performing traditional arts.
This performance will be staged together with conductor Kim Kwang-hyun and the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor Kim Kwang-hyun became a hot topic in 2015 when, at the age of 33, he was appointed as the youngest head of a national public music organization, the Wonju City Symphony Orchestra.
A surprise event will also take place along with the performance. Immediately after the concert, a unique performance will be held in the first-floor lobby where the audience and the stars on stage will mingle together.
