Prosecutors Raid Incheon Port Authority...Current and Former Executives Accused of Bribery Demands
The prosecution has launched a forced investigation into allegations that current and former executives of Incheon Port Authority (IPA) demanded bribes from private companies.
On the morning of the 7th, the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office conducted a search and seizure at the IPA Vice President's Office and the Logistics Business Office, securing PCs and business-related documents. It is reported that the prosecution is collecting evidence while investigating former IPA executive A and employee B, who are suspected of demanding bribes from private companies.
A and others are suspected of demanding monetary payments from private companies in connection with a sports facility construction project on the rear site of Incheon North Port between February and March. The prosecution recently requested and obtained necessary materials from IPA to prove the charges and summoned senior officials from the audit department for questioning.
