Osan City Develops BI for Water Meter Remote Reading System 'Sutokki'
On the 7th, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has developed an integrated brand identity (BI) called ‘Suttokki’ to promote its water supply business. ‘Suttokki’ means a water guardian who smartly manages tap water by utilizing a wireless remote meter reading system.
The city expects that through the BI, it will help citizens better understand tap water and clearly and familiarly convey the various services provided by the city.
Previously, since 2017, the city has been building a smart remote meter reading system using the Internet of Things (IoT) to check water usage in real time, instead of the traditional method where meter readers visit in person to check water usage.
Through this system, the city provides leak inspection guidance to households using more water than usual, and directly visits households with a sudden drop in usage to identify whether they are in crisis.
