Muan-gun Hosts National Corporate Kendo Championship... Over 500 Athletes Participate
Held at An Sports Park Gymnasium for 4 days from the 7th to the 10th
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) will host the "20th Autumn National Business Kendo Championship" at the Muan Sports Park Gymnasium for four days from the 7th to the 10th, organized by the Korea Business Kendo Federation and supervised by the Muan-gun Kendo Association.
This tournament will feature about 500 players from 24 business teams nationwide. On the 7th, the men's 3rd to 5th dan round of 16 matches will take place; on the 8th, the men's 6th dan and above individual matches and the 3rd to 5th dan quarterfinals to finals will be held; on the 9th, the women's individual matches and men's and women's team preliminaries will be conducted; and on the final day, the 10th, the men's and women's team semifinals and finals will conclude the tournament.
Governor Kim San said, "I hope all the participating athletes greatly improve their skills, and especially pay attention to safety so that they can finish beautifully without serious injuries."
Meanwhile, Muan-gun, where the tournament is held, has contributed to raising the status of kendo by establishing and operating a business kendo team since 2002, and is also making great efforts to expand the base of kendo participants as a sport for everyday life.
