Gyeonggi Office of Education to Host Regional Arts Harmony Festival
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold the 'Arts Harmony Festival,' involving artists, institutions, and local governments from each region, by the end of this year.
Each education support office will conduct cultural and artistic performances, exhibitions of works by the educational community, cultural and artistic event collaborations, and student council-led Harmony Festivals tailored to the characteristics of their region.
Performances such as orchestras, choirs, bands, plays, talchum (mask dance), and samulnori (traditional percussion quartet) will be held regionally, while exhibitions will feature teacher-student collaborative works, watercolor paintings, Korean paintings, ceramics, photography and video, and media art.
