Seven Eleven announced on the 7th that 700,000 packs of the 'K League Panini Card' were sold within just six days of its official release.
The K League Panini Card is a product exclusively launched by Seven Eleven in partnership with the Korea Professional Football Federation. It is a collectible soccer photo card produced by the Italian sports card company Panini. The card set features photos of 100 popular K League players and 7 legendary players.
The K League Panini Card has gained such popularity that it ranked within the top 3 best-selling products at Seven Eleven based on sales volume immediately after its release. According to Seven Eleven, fueled by the popularity of the Panini Card, toy product sales from the 1st to the 6th of this month more than doubled compared to the same period last year. In particular, the Seven Eleven Incheon Starhills store near the Incheon Football Stadium, home to Incheon United, is receiving enthusiastic responses from soccer fans.
To commemorate the launch of the K League Panini Card, Seven Eleven is also holding a discount sales event. Until the 31st of next month, customers who purchase general products (excluding tobacco and alcohol) worth 3,000 won or more at Seven Eleven stores can buy the card for 500 won. An event is also being held through the mobile application Seven App. Customers who purchase 10 or more packs of the K League Panini Card and collect stamps on the Seven App will be entered into a draw to win prizes such as K League All-Star signed uniforms (5), K League 40th Anniversary Prism Soccer Card Collections (50), FIFA official soccer balls (20), and Seven Eleven mobile gift certificates worth 5,000 won (500).
