Ateone-D.A Architecture Sign Comprehensive Business Agreement... "Improving Construction Site Safety Through Digital Transformation"
Amid recent consecutive cases of poor construction and safety accidents, the importance of introducing technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and AI in construction sites has emerged, drawing attention to contech companies that enhance safety and productivity.
KOSDAQ-listed company EightOne (CEO Jin-Yeop Lee) announced that it has joined the ranks of 'Contech (Construction + Technology)' by signing a comprehensive business agreement with DA Group Engineering General Architecture Office (hereinafter DA Architecture).
On the 5th, the two companies that signed the comprehensive business agreement stated that they will actively promote the digital transformation of construction sites. Through this agreement, they plan to collaborate on ▲digital transformation of architectural planning databases ▲introduction of AR/VR technology at construction sites ▲creation of smart cities utilizing metaverse and AI ▲cooperation on real estate STO concept verification projects.
In particular, by using blockchain technology with transparency and integrity, they expect to transparently supervise sites and conduct simulations through digital twin modeling, which is anticipated to reduce costs and improve construction safety. Additionally, productivity is expected to improve by deriving optimal design plans through AI machine learning.
Furthermore, from the architectural planning stage, they intend to seek new business items through product development considering real estate STO (Security Token Offering).
Based on its excellent XR technology, EightOne has provided educational and practical content for various industrial safety sites. It has developed VR safety experience content for Samsung Engineering, LG Hausys, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and participated in national projects developing virtual training systems for complex hazard response in industrial sites.
DA Architecture is an architectural design office that has carried out various projects seeking architectural alternatives for sustainable cities. It has designed numerous landmark buildings including ‘Centerfield Yeoksam’ and ‘Pangyo Alphadom’, and is currently undertaking the largest private investment project in Korea, developing approximately 350,000㎡ of land around Jamsil Sports Complex.
It also recently attracted attention by winning the ‘Apgujeong Apartment Special Planning Zone 2 Reconstruction Design Service’ project. This project, which involves investing 14.4 billion KRW in design fees for a site of about 200,000㎡ in the most popular area of Gangnam, has drawn significant industry interest.
