The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 5th that it will conduct a planned inspection of 20 medical institutions suspected of illegally handling medical narcotics such as propofol until the 18th.
The Narcotics Abuse Monitoring Task Force (TF) of the Ministry analyzed big data on narcotics handling and selected 20 medical institutions that did not report the purchase or administration of medical narcotics, or reported zero residual waste after using propofol, indicating illegal distribution and use of medical narcotics.
The Ministry stated that it plans to take administrative actions against medical institutions found to have violated the Narcotics Control Act as a result of the inspection.
