Yoo Yeonhong's Third Solo Exhibition 'Absorbed in Light'... Seoul Arts Center September 17-26
The third solo exhibition of artist Yoo Yeonhong will be held at the Seoul Arts Center in Yangjae-dong from September 17 to 26, just before Chuseok.
Under the theme "Soaking into the Light," this solo exhibition serves as a record of Yoo's life and a tribute to nature, offering a special time to experience the aesthetics of light and color together.
The works capturing the beauty of flowers, trees, and forests embody the artist's passion and longing for nature.
"When I paint, I feel alive. It makes me endlessly happy when I transform simple light into the light of life that breathes human existence."
Whenever he faced difficulties in life, he gained new energy and hope through painting. This exhibition features trees that have grown alongside the artist. Landscapes connected to his life, such as his hometown's bamboo groves, birch forests, and Korean chrysanthemum (gujeolcho), make his works even more meaningful.
His works are infused with the energy of light and life. The pieces, which capture the beauty of nature with vibrant colors, convey a vividness as if sunlight and wind are felt directly. This exhibition will offer us a peaceful and warm journey through lyrical natural landscapes where nature and humans harmonize, and light and shadow blend.
