Gurye-gun Launches Second Phase of Electric Vehicle Distribution

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will invest 580 million KRW to additionally distribute 37 electric vehicles to the private sector.

The eligibility for electric vehicle private distribution support includes residents, corporations, and institutions who have continuously resided in Gurye-gun for more than three months as of the date of purchase support application submission.

The second phase of electric vehicle distribution by the county includes 28 electric passenger cars (general) and 9 electric cargo vehicles (7 general, 2 delivery). Purchase subsidies vary depending on the vehicle type. The maximum subsidy is 14.3 million KRW for electric passenger cars and 19.5 million KRW for electric cargo vehicles.

The subsidy application period is from September 6 until the project budget is exhausted. Applicants must sign a purchase contract with a car dealership, and the dealership submits the application through the purchase subsidy support system.

County Governor Kim Soon-ho said, “We are accelerating the electric vehicle distribution support project and the establishment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure to respond to climate change and achieve carbon neutrality,” adding, “We ask for the interest and participation of all residents for a carbon ZERO clean Gurye by 2050.”
