Job Fair & Social Economy Festival 'Nae:il Baram' Held on the 13th... On-site Interviews and Recruitment Consultations at 15 Locations Including Lotte Department Store, Starbucks, Toyoko Inn Seoul Dongdaemun I
Jung-gu District Office in Seoul (Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will hold a job fair and social economy festival called ‘Nae:il Baram’ on the 13th at the Jung-gu Office to gather and provide job information that allows the local community and residents to coexist.
At the auditorium on the 7th floor of the district office, the ‘Opening Nae:il (JOB) with Good Jobs! Job Fair’ will take place. Fifteen excellent local companies, including Lotte Department Store, Starbucks, and Toyoko Inn Seoul Dongdaemun I, will participate. HR managers will come to the fair site and conduct direct job consultations and interviews from 2 PM to 5 PM. A total of about 120 jobs are waiting for Jung-gu residents.
Most of the companies participating in this job fair are members of the Jung-gu Job Governance. The Jung-gu Job Governance is a public-private consultative body formed in July to provide quality jobs to Jung-gu residents, and it is expected to play a significant role in this fair.
The Jung-gu Job Governance will also be active in job counseling for job seekers. The Seoul Employment Center and Seoul Senior Tomorrow Center will provide personalized services such as guidance on the national employment system, life career planning, and resume correction.
Unique side events related to employment, such as tarot job fortune-telling and personal color diagnosis, will also be prepared.
The employment portal Incruit will operate the ‘Jung-gu Online Recruitment Center’ for seven days from September 7 to September 13. About 30 companies, including Shinsegae Department Store, are expected to participate in recruitment.
The district office will continue to manage the matching of unemployed individuals and companies, additional interviews, and individual consulting even after the fair ends. For small and medium-sized enterprises that could not participate directly on the day, the Jung-gu Women’s New Work Center and the Seoul Printing Information Industry Cooperative will assist with company recruitment guidance.
Before the job fair, a social economy festival will be held on the morning of the 13th. It is a place to raise awareness of the social economy and communicate with stakeholders, with various activities prepared to expand the market for social enterprises and promote employment for vulnerable groups.
The social economy conference will be held in the planning situation room on the 3rd floor from 10 AM to 12 PM in the form of a talk concert. Forty residents and stakeholders will participate to share opinions on community services such as home repair and care, job creation, and to build networks.
From 1:30 PM, social economy enterprise product sales and experience booths will be operated in the plaza in front of the Jung-gu Office. A total of 25 organizations and groups, including local social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, small business owners, and residents participating in the social economy, will participate. The sales booths will showcase excellent products from social economy organizations such as bakery items, gochujang (red chili paste), side dishes, natural dye products, local agricultural products, and dried seafood from Sinjungbu Market. Visitors can also experience various attempts by social enterprises that consider the interests of the social community, such as coffee made by people with developmental disabilities and books sold by cooperatives of seven local bookstores.
