KEPCO KDN has developed an AI video analysis system to enhance the safety of users and security of elderly welfare facilities, capable of detecting fires, smoke, hand signals, falls, wandering, and access to dangerous areas, enabling proactive responses.
This agreement includes mutual cooperation where the city supports the installation of the AI video analysis system, and KEPCO KDN builds and operates the servers.
Kim Jang-hyun, CEO of KEPCO KDN, said, “We hope this agreement with Naju City will serve as a model case for establishing a smart safety management system environment, making Naju a safer and better place to live.”
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae stated, “With KEPCO KDN’s advanced video analysis technology, efficient management of disaster-vulnerable elderly welfare facilities in the area is expected,” adding, “We hope this agreement will lay the foundation for creating a safe and excellent Naju for everyone.”
Meanwhile, through this agreement, the city plans to install CCTV equipped with video analysis technology and APC (people counting devices) at six elderly welfare facilities in the area, with operations scheduled to begin in December after server construction is completed.
