Ha Tae-kyung "Park Jung-hoon Keeps Changing His Words, Trust Is Difficult"
"Different from what was said at first"
"Randomly prosecuting anyone... to ease their own investigation"
"Yoon Mi-hyang has mental issues... needs to bring a prescription first"
Regarding Park Jeong-hoon (Colonel), former head of the Marine Corps Investigation Unit, who was booked on charges including insubordination while investigating the death of Corporal Chae Mo, Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, pointed out that "it's hard to trust him" as he keeps changing his statements.
On the 5th, on MBC's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus,' Rep. Ha said, "At first, he said, 'I didn't know it was an order from the Minister of National Defense, so I ignored the commander’s instruction not to transfer the case and went ahead with the transfer.' But later, it was confirmed that it was indeed an order from the Minister of National Defense. Then he changes his story," he said.
He criticized, "How he changes his story is by saying, 'The order was unjust, so I could not comply.' This is different from what he initially said," adding, "He first said he didn’t know it was an order, then said the content was unjust."
Rep. Ha also said, "Another problem is that if the division commander should be prosecuted, then the non-commissioned officers and sergeants who carried out the order should be excluded from prosecution. Why prosecute everyone?" and added, "They just randomly prosecuted anyone. This was done to make their own investigation easier."
Regarding the 'VIP rage rumor' mentioned by the investigation chief Park, he said, "Because he keeps changing his story, even if such (VIP rage) rumors come out, the credibility of his words decreases," and "Unless he provides concrete evidence, if he were someone who had built trust, it might be different, but in this situation where he keeps changing his story, it’s hard to trust him."
Although Investigation Chief Park claimed to have heard it from Commander Kim Gye-hwan, there is no concrete evidence. Rep. Ha said, "He keeps changing his story while saying he heard it from someone," and "So if he wants to involve the president, he must present concrete evidence."
Regarding Rep. Yoon Mi-hyang, who attended the memorial event for the Kanto Massacre hosted by the pro-North Korean organization General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), he said, "She seems to have some mental issues," and "There is an event on August 15th hosted by North Korea and one hosted by South Korea, the Republic of Korea. Which one should she attend?"

When the host said, "Rep. Yoon’s side insists that attention should be paid to the Kanto Massacre," he responded, "Chongryon is the North Korean government’s proxy. It represents the North Korean embassy," and "If there are separate rallies representing the South and the North for the Kanto Massacre, of course, you should go to the South’s event. She has mental problems. She needs to get treatment first."
