HiteJinro Launches 'Hardy', Premium French Cognac Brand Priced Around 30 Million KRW
Starting with Cognac, the Spirits Market Expands with Whiskey, Tequila, and More
HiteJinro introduces a famous overseas spirits brand to the domestic market.
On the 5th, HiteJinro announced that it has signed a contract with the French cognac manufacturer ‘Hardy’ and will launch for the first time in Korea four types of the premium line Lalique 4 Seasons and one type of Lalique Caryota.
As a comprehensive liquor company in Korea, HiteJinro is actively entering the domestic spirits market by discovering various premium liquors with high rarity to respond to the changing liquor market and strengthen competitiveness. Starting with cognac, HiteJinro plans to expand its portfolio to include various product categories such as whiskey, tequila, and vodka, which are experiencing growth.
Cognac is a distilled liquor made from wine at a high concentration and is produced in the Cognac region of France. Among them, the globally renowned manufacturer Hardy has been adhering to traditional methods for 160 years, creating artistic cognacs with deep and rich flavors and aftertastes.
The newly launched ‘Lalique 4 Seasons’ and ‘Lalique Caryota’ are Hardy’s top-tier cognac products blended exclusively from the finest raw materials aged over 100 years. Additionally, Hardy collaborated with the French luxury crystal company Lalique to enhance the premium value by emphasizing the importance of the bottle shape, a characteristic of cognac.
‘Lalique 4 Seasons’ is a cognac completed with Hardy’s unique blending technique to produce flavors suitable for each season: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. With Lalique’s expertise, the bottle cap visually expresses the four seasons of the grapevine, offering aesthetic beauty. Only 400 sets were released worldwide, with just one set imported to Korea, priced in the mid-30 million KRW range per bottle.
‘Lalique Caryota’ is made by blending three types of raw materials aged over 100 years. The package introduced this time features a separated bottle and Lalique’s decanter, priced in the mid-20 million KRW range. The decanter exposes the cognac to air, maximizing its smooth taste and aroma.
HiteJinro plans to sell ‘Lalique 4 Seasons’ and ‘Lalique Caryota’ at the COEX International Art Fair ‘2023 Kiaf & Frieze’ on the 6th.
