Miryang City Hosts Traveling Provincial Art Museum Exhibition "Beyond the Landscape"
Exhibition at City Hall Gallery from September 5 to 25
Miryang City in Gyeongnam Province will hold the "Visiting Provincial Art Museum," a project by the Gyeongnam Provincial Museum of Art to expand the base of art culture, at the City Hall Gallery starting from the 5th.
The Visiting Provincial Art Museum is a project conducted in cities and counties within the province to increase opportunities for local residents to enjoy culture and improve accessibility to art.
This exhibition will be held at the City Hall Gallery under the theme "Beyond the Landscape" and will run for 21 days from the 5th to the 25th. Visitors can see 18 paintings and printworks from the Gyeongnam Provincial Museum of Art's collection that depict landscapes from a new perspective.
The exhibition showcases works that express nature, which the artists have experienced and observed, in different ways. Park Jang-gil (1954?), an artist from Miryang, portrays his reflections on nature through a mixed technique combining acrylic paint and sawdust.
Jeon Hyuk-rim (1916?2010), known as a pioneer of abstract art, captures the landscape around his hometown Tongyeong in deep blue abstractions.
