Shinan-gun Accelerates Youth Job Creation... Making the Island a Place Where Youth Return
All 23 Young Workers Participating in the Project Have Changed Their Addresses
Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) is promoting youth job creation and startup support projects to create a local environment where young people return.
According to the county on the 4th, with a total project budget of 1.034 billion KRW this year, they are fostering 23 youth jobs and 16 youth startup teams across 13 business sites in the region.
Companies participating in the youth job project receive support covering 80% of the youth workers' wages (up to 1.6 million KRW per month), and workers benefit from job training, self-development expenses, savings plans aimed at local settlement, and if converted to full-time employment, a total of 10 million KRW in local settlement support over one year.
Additionally, youth entrepreneurs will be linked with specialized startup support organizations to receive professional startup education and consulting support, as well as up to 20 million KRW in startup support funds for product development costs, promotional marketing expenses, and more.
All 23 youth workers participating in the job project have relocated their residence to Shinan-gun, and among the 16 youth entrepreneurs, 15 have completed both residence relocation to Shinan-gun and business registration.
