Busan Engraved Hyundai Art Car to Run at ASEAN Summit
Hyundai Electric Vehicles and Local Strategic Models Operate Wrapping Art Cars
Hyundai Motor Group will operate art cars collaborated with 'K-Culture' artists in Indonesia, where the ASEAN Summit is being held, to support the bid for the Busan Expo.
Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 4th that it will deploy 23 specially produced art cars during the 43rd ASEAN Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from the 5th to the 7th of this month (local time). At the same time, it will promote Busan, the candidate city for the World Expo, using digital outdoor advertisements in major areas of Jakarta.
To emphasize the Busan Expo’s distinctive point of being a 'carbon-neutral expo through the application of eco-friendly technology,' Hyundai Motor Group selected three electric vehicles as art cars: the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Genesis G80 electrified models. Additionally, the Southeast Asia strategic model 'Stargazer X' will also be deployed.

The art car project prepared by Hyundai Motor Group this time involved 'Jay Flow,' a leading figure in K-graffiti who has been actively working domestically and internationally since the 2000s.
The front and both sides of the art cars created through this collaboration were wrapped with graffiti designs sensibly expressing major symbols of Busan such as Gwangandaegyo Bridge and seagulls. Also, the slogan 'BUSAN is Ready' expressing the wish for Busan’s bid was depicted in Jay Flow’s unique, stylish, and colorful style.
Hyundai Motor Group collaborated with Korea's leading graffiti artist 'Jay Ploru' to create an art car promoting the Busan Expo in Jakarta, Indonesia, where the ASEAN Summit is being held.
Hyundai Motor Group plans to operate the art cars near the venue of the ASEAN Summit and around major landmarks in Jakarta. They aim to create a favorable atmosphere for Busan’s bid among key figures from various countries attending the summit, as well as tourists and locals visiting Jakarta.
In addition, Hyundai Motor Group will screen promotional videos containing messages supporting Busan’s bid on over 30 screens installed at Terminal 3 arrivals and departures at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, as well as on more than 20 outdoor billboards near the airport, on city entry roads, and in major areas of Jakarta.
A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "We will do our best to spread the enthusiasm for the Busan Expo bid and build global consensus through differentiated methods until the host city is selected."
