"No Worse Hell Seen" Breeding Farm Wrapped Dog Corpses in Newspaper... 1,400 Rescued
At a dog breeding farm in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, cruel animal abuse was revealed. Animal organizations and Gyeonggi Province rescued over 1,400 animals.
The animal rescue organization WEACT stated on the 3rd, “After receiving an urgent tip on the 1st, we visited a licensed breeding farm in Hwaseong and discovered a horrific situation beyond imagination, rescuing over 1,400 dogs.”

This protective action was carried out following an urgent directive from Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon on the 1st, after receiving a report via social media from the incorporated animal rescue organization WEACT.
WEACT shared videos and photos on social media, saying, “Although we have conducted numerous rescues, we have never seen or heard of a hell worse than this,” describing the conditions at the breeding farm.
The breeding farm was a facility registered with the local government, but it was found to be violating the Animal Protection Act, including abuse charges.
There were 1,000 more dogs than the permitted number confined in cramped spaces, and nearly 100 dog carcasses wrapped in newspaper were found in a freezer.

At the site, many muscle relaxants and used syringes, which are used for illegal euthanasia, were discovered. Cases of decomposition were found in the nearby mountain. The animal rescue organization stated, “Overall, the dogs’ conditions were extremely miserable, and in two freezers, untreated carcasses were piled up.”
WEACT also confirmed circumstances where a malnourished mother dog’s belly was cut open with a utility knife to remove only the puppies.
When a dog that had gone into cardiac arrest during rescue was examined at a hospital, it was diagnosed with temporary heart failure due to malnutrition, WEACT reported. It was known that no food was found in the stomach or intestines.

WEACT said, “Illegal evidence overflowed at the site. Mother dogs, who were not receiving proper treatment, were having their puppies taken away. According to the data, breeding operators inevitably sent the puppies to auction houses one month after birth,” adding, “This place, hiding behind the name of a licensed breeding farm where illegal activities are openly conducted, is truly hell.”
Gyeonggi Province plans to take administrative actions such as business suspension against the farm while obtaining the dog ownership relinquishment from the breeding farm owner.
The Gyeonggi Province Special Judicial Police Unit plans to take strong administrative and judicial measures against the farm owner, including business suspension, after further investigation.
