Lee Jun-seok: "If we compete in Daegu, I will face the worst candidate"
"Seeing Yoon Hae-gwan Makes Me Angry, We Should Organize Rather Than Expand Conservatism"
Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok hinted at the possibility of running in the general election on the 2nd, saying, "If I were to go to Daegu and compete fairly, I would choose the worst candidate to run against." However, he drew a line on running in Daegu Dong-gu Eul on the same day.

On that day, Lee met with supporters and citizens at the outdoor music hall in Duryu Park, where the Daegu Chimaek Festival was taking place, and said, "When I see the 'Yunhaekgwan' (Yoon Seok-yeol's key associates), I get angry and think that instead of expanding conservatism, they should be sorted out."
He added, "On broadcasts, people say I should run in Nowon-byeong (Seoul), but I will not decide my path just because they ask me to," emphasizing, "That does not mean I won't run in Nowon-byeong."
He continued, "These days, the politicians in Daegu have very little to say. Some people will gradually enter a blind following mode just to get nominations," pointing out, "Those people are the so-called 'Yunhaekgwan.'"
Lee stated, "If I set a goal and work towards it, the 'Yunhaekgwan' will try to block me, so I plan to keep all possibilities open."
Regarding next year's general election and the crisis theory in the metropolitan area, he said, "If someone who has served as party leader or floor leader goes to Seoul and cannot win, they should be ashamed," adding, "They (the party leadership) know the metropolitan area is in crisis but pretend otherwise."

On the possibility of founding a new party, he said, "I hope we don't talk about a new party today," explaining, "If we do, the momentum for actually founding a new party later will be lost."
Earlier, at the end of July, Lee launched a YouTube channel called 'Yeouido Reconstruction Association,' stating, "Regarding next year's general election, I have never talked about anything other than what I directly say on broadcasts with anyone, nor do I intend to."
