Lawyer Formerly with the Presidential Office Who Fled After Causing a Traffic Accident Sent to Prosecution

A famous lawyer, formerly an administrative officer at the Presidential Office, who fled the scene without taking proper action after a traffic accident, has been sent to the prosecution.
According to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on the 1st, lawyer Choi, who is suspected of failing to take action after an accident under the Road Traffic Act, was sent to the prosecution on the 30th of last month. It is reported that Choi left the scene after a vehicle collision accident around 11 a.m. on May 9 on Dosan-daero in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, leaving the vehicle without taking any particular measures.
Immediately after the accident, the police booked Choi as a suspect and collected samples such as his hair to request a detailed examination from the National Forensic Service, but no drugs were detected. The police investigated additional criminal charges against Choi but found no other suspicious points and referred the case to the prosecution applying only the charge of violating the Road Traffic Act.

Choi served as an administrative officer at the Presidential Office for about four months immediately after President Yoon Seok-yeol’s inauguration and has appeared as a panelist on various broadcasting programs, including terrestrial entertainment shows.
