While traffic was being controlled due to the movement of the president's vehicle, an accident occurred where a taxi on the opposite lane collided with a police car.
According to the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on the 1st, at 11:06 a.m. that day, while police were controlling traffic due to the movement of President Yoon Seok-yeol's vehicle in Seocho-gu, Seoul, a taxi that did not see the police officer's hand signals went straight and collided with a police van. The president's vehicle passed the location on the opposite lane immediately after the accident occurred.
Before the accident, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's traffic patrol unit had stopped all traffic and was controlling it with hand signals. The taxi was moving on the 4-lane road from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital toward the Seoul Arts Center.

The taxi driver and a 20-year-old female passenger in the taxi sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. Two police officers riding in the police van also sustained minor injuries. A police official said, "We plan to investigate the circumstances of the accident, including why the taxi driver did not see the hand signals."
