Feel the Aurora's Emotion with LG Electronics OLED Display
Artwork Showcasing Aurora Created with OLED Display
LG Electronics will present a mesmerizing aurora experience using self-luminous OLED displays at the Seoul Light Festival 'Seoul Light DDP 2023,' held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul until the 10th.
For this exhibition, the company collaborated with world-renowned installation artist Dan Asher. They will showcase the work 'Borealis DDP Dan Asher × LG OLED,' which vividly recreates the beautiful natural phenomenon of the aurora using OLED displays.
Dan Asher is famous for his 'Borealis' installation, which realistically depicts the aurora using special equipment such as fog machines and lasers that create mist.
Visitors can enjoy Dan Asher's aurora artwork, which colors the night sky accompanied by beautiful music, every day from 7 PM to 11 PM at the outdoor exhibition space on the grassy hill at DDP during the exhibition period.

OLED displays have the advantage of expressing accurate colors without exaggeration. Since they do not require backlighting, they can be bent, rolled, or made transparent. This is why they are widely used as exhibition objects.
Kim Sun-hyung, Executive Vice President of Korea HE/BS Marketing at LG Electronics, said, "Based on 10 years of innovation, LG OLED TVs, which realize a different dimension of picture quality and design, will offer customers new experiences and emotions together with special artworks."
LG Electronics is advancing the 'OLED ART Project,' collaborating with the art field by leveraging the strengths of OLED. This project solidifies the brand leadership of 'OLED TV that inspires art and is preferred by artists' while expanding consumer touchpoints.
