Newly Renovated Jangandong Jangmi Children's Park Filled with Children's Laughter
Completion of Facility Improvement Projects Including New Restroom Installation and Replacement of Aged Facilities

View original imageDongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced that it has completed the facility improvement project at Jangmi Children's Park located in Jangan-dong and conducted an on-site inspection on August 31.
Jangmi Children's Park (386 Jangan-dong) is a small park near daycare centers and residential areas, where requests for restroom installation and facility maintenance had been continuously raised.
Accordingly, the district invested 600 million KRW (500 million KRW from district funds and 100 million KRW from city funds) to complete ▲ installation of self-powered playground equipment ▲ restroom installation ▲ tree planting and creation of specialized flower beds, enhancing convenience for visitors and revitalizing the park.
On the day, Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, conducted an on-site inspection following the completion of the facility improvement project, checking the safety status of the facilities and creating a communication platform to gather residents' opinions.
The district plans to renovate aging parks in the area into children's parks, creating local community spaces where all citizens, including children, can use together.

Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu stated, “With the transformation of Jangmi Children's Park, the neighborhood atmosphere seems much brighter. I hope children can play safely and joyfully here while fostering their creativity.” He added, “We will continue to renovate aging parks to make Dongdaemun-gu safer and more pleasant, and we will do our best efforts to achieve this.”
