Gangseo-gu, Seoul, will hold events from September 1 to 7 to celebrate Gender Equality Week and create a "Gender-equal society where we work together and care together."
Gender Equality Week (September 1?7) was established to realize the ideal of practical gender equality through the practice of work-family balance in all areas including politics, economy, society, and culture.
The events will be held under the slogan "Gender-equal society where we work together and care together," featuring ▲promotion of gender equality projects ▲prevention of domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking.
First, a "Gender Equality Practice and Domestic Violence, Sexual Violence Prevention Campaign" will be conducted for two hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on September 4 at Hwagok Station and on September 5 at Gayang Station to promote gender equality projects and prevent stalking.
Also, the "Gender Equality Content Contest Winners Exhibition" will be held at Gangseo-gu Community Center (September 1?7) and Gomdallae Culture and Welfare Center (September 4?7). Through six slogans and four webtoons, it will provide an opportunity to reflect on gender equality in daily life together.
Three winning video works can be viewed online through Gangseo-gu Office’s official YouTube channel, iGangseoTV.
Psychological counseling will also be offered to share the difficulties of office workers and help improve family relationships.
