Daejeon City to Provide Up to 3 Million KRW Support for Unemployed Job-Seeking Youth
Daejeon City will provide up to 3 million KRW to unemployed youth engaged in job-seeking activities as job search activity expenses and living expenses.
On the 31st, Daejeon City announced that it will recruit applicants on a first-come, first-served basis from next month 1st to 8th for the unemployed youth support project called ‘Daejeon Youth Tomorrow Hope Card’.
The recruitment period will be extended by one week until the suitable number of applicants is filled, and will end once the annual support target of 1,000 people is met.
Applications can be made by unemployed youth aged 18 to 34 registered as residents in Daejeon (including university graduates-to-be, graduate students, and youth not attending school) who meet the condition of household median income at or below 150% based on health insurance premiums.
Daejeon City plans to select recipients by first reviewing the eligibility of applicants’ documents, then evaluating age, unemployment status, household median income, whether they are participating in other projects simultaneously, feasibility of the job search plan, and suitability to the project purpose.
Youth selected as project recipients will receive a total of 3 million KRW in card points, paid monthly at 500,000 KRW for six months. The points can be used for education expenses, interview fees, book purchases, certification acquisition fees, meal expenses, transportation costs, and other expenses necessary for the job search process.
Applications can be submitted through the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card online website. After applying, related documents must be submitted by registered mail to the Daejeon Job and Economy Promotion Agency.
For more detailed information about the project, refer to the announcement posted on the Daejeon City Hall or Youth Tomorrow Hope Card website.
