An 80-Year-Old Woman Missing for Four Days in Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk... Police and Firefighters Conduct Joint Search
An elderly woman in her 80s went missing in Yeongyang, Gyeongbuk, prompting the police and related authorities to launch a joint search, but her whereabouts remain unknown after four days.
According to the Gyeongbuk Police Agency and Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters on the 30th, a report was received from the family that Ms. A, who suffers from dementia symptoms, left her home in Yeongyang-eup, Yeongyang-gun around 11:45 a.m. on the 26th and has not been seen since early morning.
Firefighters and others immediately began searching but have yet to find her.
The police, fire department, military units, and Yeongyang-gun authorities?four organizations in total?are conducting a joint search of the village where Ms. A was first reported missing and the nearby valley area.
At the time of her disappearance, Ms. A was wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt and a sky-blue skirt. She is about 152 cm tall, weighs approximately 35 kg, has a slender build, and has mostly white hair.

A representative of the joint search team said, “Ms. A does not have a mobile phone, making it difficult to track her location,” and added, “If anyone sees a person dressed similarly to the missing individual, please report it to the 182 Police Civil Complaint Call Center.”
