Yun Byeong-tae, Mayor of Naju, Holds Meeting with Representatives of Disabled Persons' Organizations and Facilities
Yoon Byung-tae, the former mayor of Naju City, Jeollanam-do, is actively continuing his communication efforts by gathering difficulties through on-site meetings with citizens from various sectors and local organizations.
According to Naju City on the 30th, Mayor Yoon recently held a communication meeting with representatives from 21 disability organizations and facilities in the city at the Naju City Disabled Persons' Association Hall.
The meeting proceeded in the order of discussing major projects for the second half of 2023, listening to field opinions and Q&A, and providing information on key disability welfare projects.
Participants expressed their requests and gratitude through conversations with Mayor Yoon, including expanding job opportunities for disabled persons, maintaining walkways in preparation for hosting the National Sports Festival for the Disabled, establishing a new support system for the independence of home-based disabled persons, and appreciation for the operation of the emergency care center for people with developmental disabilities.
In response, Mayor Yoon promised tailored support for jobs for disabled persons, improvement of walkways, securing mobility rights based on a full survey of convenience facilities for the disabled, and exploring support measures for the independence of home-based disabled persons through consultations with the government and Jeollanam-do.
Mayor Yoon said, “I am grateful to the officials who passionately promote welfare projects to improve disability welfare,” and added, “Through the government's disability welfare policy direction and the development of policies centered on the needs of disabled persons themselves, we will create a comfortable Naju where disabled persons can live well, and a happy Naju that everyone dreams of and desires.”
