Sejong City Expands 'Yeominjeon' Purchase Limit... "Up to 70,000 Won Cashback Next Month"
Sejong City will increase the per-person purchase limit for the local currency Yeominjeon starting next month.
On the 30th, Sejong City announced that the purchase limit for Yeominjeon will be raised to 1 million KRW per person next month. The increase in the purchase limit is aimed at boosting local consumption before Chuseok. After October, the per-person purchase limit will also be raised to 500,000 KRW.
As the purchase limit increases, cashback benefits will also grow. The maximum monthly cashback benefit will rise from the current 28,000 KRW to 35,000 KRW after October. In September, cashback benefits of up to 70,000 KRW can be received.
Previously, Sejong City began issuing Yeominjeon in March 2020. As of July this year, the total issuance amount of Yeominjeon over more than three years is 996 billion KRW.
