Yoon Holds Lunch with Khaldoon, Abu Dhabi Administrative Head... "Rapid Advancement in Bilateral Relations"
The Presidential Office announced that President Yoon Suk-yeol had lunch on the 29th at the Yongsan Presidential Office with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
At the meeting, President Yoon referred to his meeting with Chairman Khaldoon during the latter's visit to Korea in September last year, stating that "the bilateral relationship has developed remarkably over the past year," according to the Presidential Office.
In particular, he expressed hope that "the fruitful outcomes of the UAE state visit in January this year will be smoothly implemented at all levels, further advancing the bilateral relationship to a higher level," and once again expressed gratitude for the special hospitality extended by the UAE side at that time.
Chairman Khaldoon, regarded as a key figure in the UAE, responded by saying, "The UAE also hopes to deepen the 'special strategic partnership' based on close cooperation between the two countries." He further expressed expectations that cooperation achievements will materialize and expand in four core areas: peaceful nuclear energy, traditional and clean energy, economy and investment, and defense and defense technology. He proposed exploring joint research and development investments and third-country expansion in hydrogen energy, bioindustry, AI (artificial intelligence), robotics, and satellite communications.
