Local Media "Cause of System Malfunction"
Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation announced on the 29th that it has suspended operations at 12 of its factories in Japan.
According to local media such as public broadcaster NHK, the cause of the suspension is a system malfunction.
The factories where operations were halted are 12 out of the 14 factories in Japan under the group, excluding the Miyata factory in Fukuoka Prefecture and the Daihatsu Industry Kyoto factory in Kyoto Prefecture. The timing for system recovery and resumption of operations has not been announced.
