A man in his 20s who posted a photo of a weapon along with a warning that he would carry out a stabbing rampage in Chuncheon has been indicted while in custody.
On the 28th, the Chuncheon District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had arrested and indicted the man, identified as A, on the 24th on charges of intimidation and obstruction of official duties by deception.
A is accused of posting a photo of a knife on an online community site at 6:56 p.m. on the 4th, along with a message stating, "Stabbing rampage scheduled in Chuncheon at 7:30."
During police questioning, A reportedly stated, "I did it for fun because others were also posting stabbing warnings."
