The Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex has been selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's '2023 Aged Industrial Complex Regeneration Project Competition.'
The aged industrial complex regeneration project is an initiative aimed at enhancing competitiveness and revitalizing the local economy by improving infrastructure and expanding support facilities within the industrial complex.
Ulsan City will implement the following as part of the Ulsan Mipo National Industrial Complex regeneration project: △ Yongjam District road expansion project △ creation of rest areas for workers △ street environment improvement projects (parking lots, sidewalk maintenance), among others.
The Yongjam District road expansion project will involve an investment of 24.1 billion KRW. This project will widen the 4.8 km, two-lane road from SK to the entrance of Ulsan Port into a four-lane road. The design service will begin in 2024, with completion expected in 2027.

A Ulsan City official stated, “The aged industrial complex regeneration project will greatly improve transportation convenience and working conditions for industrial complex workers.”
