LG Electronics Strengthens Energy-Efficient Home Appliance Lineup Targeting Europe
Exhibition of Various High-Efficiency New Appliances
with a Net Zero House Theme
LG Electronics is strengthening its push into the European market with new home appliances featuring top-level energy efficiency.
On the 28th, LG Electronics announced that from September 1, it will showcase a variety of high-efficiency home appliance new products targeting the European market, including washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers, under the theme of ‘Net-Zero House’ at IFA 2023, Europe’s largest home appliance exhibition held in Berlin, Germany.

View original imageEurope has declared the ‘REPowerEU’ plan to achieve carbon neutrality by reducing energy consumption and dependence on Russian fossil fuels and expanding renewable energy by 2030. With European customers’ growing demand for high-efficiency electrical products, LG Electronics plans to target the European high-efficiency home appliance market based on differentiated core component technologies such as inverter motors and compressors.
The newly introduced LG drum washing machine offers about 40% higher efficiency than the highest energy efficiency grade, A. With LG washing machines’ unique 6-motion technology, it delivers delicate washing while maintaining washing performance and reduces microplastics caused by fabric friction during the washing process by up to 60%.
The new dryer product has an energy efficiency rating of A+++, the highest level among products released in the market. This product applies the next-generation eco-friendly refrigerant R290, which has a global warming potential (GWP) of only 3. The new refrigerator product features differentiated competitiveness with efficiency about 20% better than the highest energy grade A. It also boasts low noise at 29dB, the lowest among LG Electronics’ models in the same class.
