She shaved four strokes in the front nine with a birdie on the 7th hole (par 5), a hole-in-one on the 8th hole (par 3, 184 yards), and a birdie on the 9th hole (par 4). After a bogey on the 10th hole (par 4), she regained momentum with a birdie on the 13th hole followed by an eagle on the 14th hole (both par 4), fiercely chasing the leader. However, a bogey on the final 18th hole (par 4) was a disappointment. She relied on her long drives averaging 278 yards. She trails the leader by three strokes, aiming for her 13th career victory and first since winning the Pelican Women's Championship in November 2020, after 2 years and 9 months.
2019 champion Ko Jin-young is eyeing a comeback from third place, five strokes behind (6-under-par 210). Yuka Saso (Japan) and Georgia Hall (England) are tied for fourth place (5-under-par 211), while Lee Jeong-eun 6 is tied for eighth (2-under-par 214).
