Ulsan Health and Environment Institute Receives Thumbs Up for Analyzing Harmful Environmental Heavy Metals
All Items Rated 'Satisfactory' in Proficiency Evaluation by National Institute of Environmental Research
The Ulsan City Health and Environment Research Institute has been recognized for its ability to analyze harmful heavy metal components in the environment.
On the 26th, the Ulsan Health and Environment Research Institute announced that it received a "satisfactory" rating in all categories in the "2023 Environmental Hazardous Factors Analysis Proficiency Evaluation" conducted by the National Institute of Environmental Research.
This evaluation is a system in which the national government recognizes the accuracy and reliability of testing and measurement analysis capabilities by comparing and assessing the test and inspection abilities and measurement analysis results of environmental hazardous factor testing institutions, including city and provincial health and environment research institutes nationwide and private measurement agencies, organized by the National Institute of Environmental Research.
The test analyzes heavy metal components in flooring materials, finishing materials, and playground sand in spaces where children mainly play. The evaluation items include six categories: △ lead, cadmium, arsenic in sand △ cadmium, lead in flooring materials △ lead in paint.
The Ulsan Health and Environment Research Institute received a suitable rating in all six categories in this evaluation, and was recognized by the nation as an "excellent analysis institution" for environmental hazardous factors.
