Yeonggwang-gun Holds Progress Report Meeting on External Evaluation Response
Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 25th that a 2023 external evaluation response status report meeting was held at the county office's small conference room, presided over by Vice Governor Kim Jeong-seop.
The meeting was organized to secure the county's competitiveness and achieve excellent results by understanding and analyzing the status of 54 various evaluations conducted by central government ministries, Jeollanam-do, and other external organizations.
On the 25th, a progress report meeting on external evaluation response was held in the county office small conference room, chaired by Deputy County Governor Kim Jeong-seop.

Attended by 19 heads of departments and divisions, the meeting included reports on award achievements over the past three years by evaluation item, award targets, key evaluation indicators, and progress status. It also reviewed issues and countermeasures to identify areas needing improvement and sought systematic response plans.
Last year, the county achieved remarkable results in a total of 34 fields, including ranking first nationwide in total fertility rate announced by Statistics Korea, receiving a grade 2 in comprehensive integrity of public institutions, being recognized as the best institution in regulatory innovation evaluation, winning triple crowns in regional economy, jobs, and investment attraction, and receiving the best award in agricultural administration.
Vice Governor Kim Jeong-seop said, “External evaluations are indicators that objectively assess the administrative capabilities and county government performance of local governments. This directly leads to the trust of the residents in the county administration, so I hope that active responses will be made to receive excellent evaluations in various fields this year as well.”
