Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Supports Domestic Collaboration with Overseas Cultural and Artistic Professionals
Interactive International Cultural Exchange 'Korea Round Culture'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange announced on the 25th that they will promote the 'Korea Round Culture.' This project supports bilateral collaboration between domestic and overseas cultural and artistic professionals. It aims to create a virtuous cycle environment where domestic cultural and artistic professionals can re-enter overseas markets. Jeong Hyang-mi, Director of Cultural Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "We aim to achieve balanced bilateral international cultural exchange by supporting collaboration with overseas cultural and artistic professionals in Korea."
The first selected projects are nine in total: the Korea-Germany joint collaborative exhibition 'Hidden+Lost - Tracing Sound,' the Korea-Israel puppet theater festival exchange performance, the Korea-Hungary mural collaboration 'Rubik's Cube Street Art,' the Korea-Australia disabled dance group joint creation and production 'Counterpoise: Nevertheless Dance,' the Korea-France dance collaboration 'Korean French Art Connection 2,' the Korea-Jordan joint collaborative exhibition 'My Red, Your Blue_Beyond Borders,' the Korea-Colombia collaborative performance 'The Shadow of Macondo,' the Korea-Azerbaijan music exchange 'Musical Journey to the Land of Fire,' and the Korea-US young artists' joint dance work creation.

Through these, some domestic cultural and artistic professionals will advance overseas. In the case of 'Korean French Art Connection 2,' it will be introduced not only in Korea but also at the G?rard Philipe Theater in France. 'Counterpoise: Nevertheless Dance' will also be produced as a dance video and a documentary capturing the collaboration process, and will be submitted to the Australian International Film Festival in October next year.
