Hanul Headquarters Implements Joint Promotion of Drone Flight Ban Around Nuclear Power Plants with Related Agencies
Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Head: Lee Seyong) conducted a joint promotional campaign with related organizations to publicize the drone flight prohibition zone around the nuclear power plant, as unauthorized drone flight cases increased during the summer vacation season.
Recently, unauthorized drone flights have been continuously reported along the coast near Hanul Headquarters. In cooperation with Uljin County Office, Uljin Police Station, and the 50th Infantry Division, no-fly zone warning signs were installed at 31 locations including Nagok Beach, Seokho Port, and Hujeong Beach. Prohibition banners were posted, and a drone flight ban awareness campaign was carried out at crowded places such as Jukbyeon Market.

The area around the nuclear power plant is designated as a no-fly zone under the Aviation Safety Act, and prior approval must be obtained to operate drones in this area. Flying drones without approval may result in fines for violating the Aviation Safety Act.
