Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, Hosts the 33rd Baedongshin Eodeung Art Festival
Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, will hold the 33rd Bae Dongsin Eodeung Art Festival.
The art festival, hosted by Gwangsan-gu and organized by the Gwangsan Cultural Center, is held annually to commemorate watercolor master, painter Bae Dongsin, to discover artistic talents and provide opportunities for artists to engage in creative activities.
The competition is divided into three categories: painting, calligraphy, and literati painting.
Entry forms can be downloaded from the websites of the Gwangsan Cultural Center and Gwangsan-gu, and anyone residing in the Republic of Korea can participate.
After a two-month announcement period, submissions will be accepted for two days from October 4 to 5.
Paintings should be submitted via email, while calligraphy and literati paintings can be submitted in person or by mail to the Gwangsan Cultural Center.
The winning works will be selected in October, and an awards ceremony and exhibition will be held at the Sochon Art Factory Cube Museum in November.

Each grand prize winner in the categories (3 people) will receive a prize of 3 million won.
