Completion of Renovation at Anyang Seoksu Sports Park
The facility improvement work at Seoksu Sports Park in Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do has been completed.
On the 24th, Anyang City announced that it replaced the artificial turf (12,795㎡), electronic scoreboard, and safety fence (wall) of the baseball field within Seoksu Sports Park, and refurbished facilities such as the players' waiting room (dugout).
In addition, the artificial turf of the 1,054㎡ futsal field was also replaced. Furthermore, a parking control system and 34 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras were installed.
Anyang City initiated the 'Parking Control and CCTV Installation Construction Design Service' in January and the 'Baseball Field Improvement Construction Design Service' in February to improve the aging facilities within Seoksu Sports Park and resolve parking issues, leading to the execution of this construction.
A total budget of 2.03 billion KRW was invested in this facility improvement project.
Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang said, "We will continue to promote the improvement of facilities within Seoksu Sports Park so that athletes can compete in a more comfortable environment and there will be no inconvenience regarding parking issues."
