Gwangju Buk-gu Accelerates Organizational Innovation by Promoting Integrity in Public Service Culture
On the 23rd, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will actively implement 25 innovation tasks across three major areas to improve organizational culture, including the spread of a clean public service culture.
This organizational culture improvement is being promoted to create a desirable working environment for Buk-gu organizational members and to provide high-quality administrative services to residents.
Last month, Buk-gu conducted an organizational culture diagnostic survey targeting all employees to identify the need for improving unreasonable practices and expanding communication channels.
Accordingly, under the goal of establishing a horizontal communication and respectful organizational culture, Buk-gu has prepared 25 innovation tasks in three major areas: ▲working methods ▲integrity ▲respect.
In the working methods area, changes will be made through eight innovation tasks such as 'activation of collaborative administration' to promote cooperation and consideration between departments, 'operation of a work know-how sharing room' to share accumulated work knowledge among employees, and 'publication of a basic manual for new public officials.'
In the integrity area, nine innovation tasks will be promoted, including the integrity countermeasure council 'Integrity Growth Team,' a week focused more on integrity called 'Integrity Buk-gu Week,' the integrity practice campaign 'Jeans Day,' and the open communication channel 'Uchiro 77 Bamboo Forest.'
In particular, employees including the Buk-gu Youth Executive Committee composed of the MZ generation will write scripts and appear in two videos to prevent power harassment, aiming to raise awareness and vigilance about such behavior. On the 25th, an organizational culture innovation campaign will be held to improve unreasonable practices, including practicing Dutch pay and an integrity performance.
Additionally, eight innovation tasks in the respect area, such as operating healing walks, supporting workplace clubs, and domestic cultural explorations, will be carried out simultaneously to accelerate organizational culture improvement.
