Voice Phishing Prevention Activities and Customized Financial Services Provision

On the 23rd, BNK Gyeongnam Bank held the ‘Visiting Janggeumi Mobile Branch Event’ at Yangsan Nambu Market.

‘Janggeumi Connection’ is a project jointly promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Financial Supervisory Service to improve the financial environment of traditional market merchants. The term combines ‘Jang’ (場), meaning market, and ‘Geum’ (金), meaning financial institution.

The Visiting Janggeumi Mobile Branch Event was attended by Executive Director Kim Yang-suk, staff members, and Kim Seong-je, president of the Yangsan Nambu Market Merchants Association.

Gyeongnam Bank held the Janggeum-i Mobile Branch event.

Participants wore Janggeumi sashes and badges while distributing pamphlets on preventing financial fraud to traditional market merchants.

At BNK Gyeongnam Bank’s Yangsan Financial Center, the ‘Janggeumi Counter,’ a consultation desk for traditional market financial services, was opened to provide tailored financial services such as special preferential business loans and preferential interest rates on savings to local merchants.

Kim Yang-suk, Executive Director and Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) in charge of financial consumer protection, stated, “We hope this event will serve as a foundation for win-win finance where local traditional markets and banks grow together. BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to continue activities that provide practical support to local small business owners and merchants and invigorate the local economy, such as the Janggeumi events.”

Meanwhile, the Visiting Janggeumi Mobile Branch Event was organized under the ‘Janggeumi Connection’ established in June by BNK Financial Group, including BNK Gyeongnam Bank, with six local traditional markets.
