A patient guardian who was riding in an ambulance transporting a patient died in an accident where the ambulance collided with a passenger car at an intersection in Cheonan, Chungnam.
At around 10:52 PM on the 21st, an ambulance and a BMW passenger car collided at an intersection in Buldang-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam. As a result of this accident, a guardian in their 70s who was riding in the ambulance to accompany her husband to the hospital died.
In addition, six people including three paramedics, one patient being transported, and two passengers in the passenger car are receiving hospital treatment for injuries.
According to the police, at the time of the accident, the passenger car driver was going straight on a green light when the ambulance, which violated the signal, hit the side of the passenger car at the intersection. The exact circumstances of the accident, including whether the passenger car driver was speeding, are currently under investigation.
