Former Green Party Leader Kim Ye-won Charged with Marijuana Possession and Smoking Allegations
Kim Ye-won, former co-representative of the Green Party, who is accused of possessing and smoking marijuana, has been indicted.
On the 22nd, the Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Chang-soo) announced that Kim was non-detained indicted on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Kim is accused of smoking marijuana and storing it at her residence. The prosecution also revealed that, based on the investigation results of another suspect A, who was sent along with Kim, additional charges were filed and non-detained indictment was made for marijuana theft and habitual marijuana smoking.

The Seoul Western Police Station received related intelligence in January and began a preliminary investigation before formally registering the case in February. The police transferred Kim to the prosecution without detention on May 22.
