Training Next-Generation Security Experts... Toss Partners with Korea Information Technology Research Institute
Providing Security Training and Internship Opportunities
Toss is partnering with the Korea Information Technology Research Institute (KITRI) to train the next generation of security experts.
On the 22nd, Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial service Toss, announced that it signed a business agreement related to the 'Next-Generation Security Leader Training Program (BoB)' with KITRI at Toss headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul the previous day.
BoB is a cybersecurity talent training program hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by KITRI. Through this program, more than 1,600 security experts have been produced over the past decade. It is also well known as a white-hacker training course.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to collaborate in various ways, including ▲ training information security experts and supporting outstanding talents through technology and information sharing ▲ developing and improving educational courses for information security talent training ▲ exchanging human resources.
In particular, Toss will focus on supporting security education through its security technology team by providing technical education, ethics education, and project mentoring. Additionally, it plans to offer internship opportunities to outstanding trainees and graduates of the BoB program.
Lee Hyung-seok, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Toss, said, "Since Toss regards security as its most important value, we will actively cooperate with KITRI's efforts," adding, "Especially, we will provide high-quality education based on our technology and experience related to financial security."
