Organized by the Pukyong National University Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Project Group (Director Kim Chang-kyung), this contest invites photographs capturing past or present scenes of Northeast Asian port cities such as Busan, Incheon, Shanghai, Yokohama, and Kaohsiung.

Anyone from high school students nationwide to the general public can participate, and submitted works must be photographs depicting scenes of Northeast Asian port cities. The submission deadline is September 14th at 6 PM.

Participants may submit up to two photographs capturing traces of exchanges remaining in Northeast Asian port cities, as well as new appearances shaped by the development of transportation, communication, and economic growth.

The Pukyong National University HK+ Project Group organized this contest to raise public interest by re-examining the value and role of Northeast Asian port cities, which have been active centers of human and material exchange, and to discover and utilize excellent maritime-related content.

After judging, the project group plans to award one winner each with the Pukyong National University President’s Award and the Busan Ilbo President’s Award, including certificates and gift certificates worth approximately 1 million KRW; three winners with the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Award, including certificates and gift certificates worth approximately 500,000 KRW; and seven winners with the HK+ Project Group Director’s Award, including certificates and gift certificates worth approximately 300,000 KRW.

To enter the contest, applicants can download the application form from the HK+ Project Group website and submit it along with their photo image files via the project group’s Dropbox. For inquiries, please contact the Pukyong National University HK+ Project Group.
