Seocho-gu Officially Kicks Off Preparations for the 2023 Seoripul Festival
Festival Promotion Committee Composed of 27 Representatives from Public Institutions, Culture and Arts, Corporations, and Religious Sectors
Seocho-gu (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) held a regular meeting of the Promotion Committee for the ‘2023 Seoripul Festival,’ which will take place starting September 16, on the 21st.
The festival promotion committee is composed of a total of 27 representatives from various fields including public institutions, culture and arts, corporations, and religious sectors. During the meeting, various ideas for a successful festival were proposed. In particular, safety measures related to the festival’s progress were actively discussed with advice from experts such as Song Won-young, Chief of Seocho Police Station, Son Byung-du, Chief of Seocho Fire Station, and Yoon Seung-gyu, Director of Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital.
The meeting proceeded in the order of ▲introduction of attending committee members ▲viewing of the Seoripul Festival promotional video ▲report on the festival overview and progress ▲discussion on inter-agency collaboration based on collected opinions.

Jeon Seong-su, Mayor of Seocho-gu, said, “We will work together with the local community to hold the Seoripul Festival safely and successfully for the first time in four years.” He added, “Through the festival, we will present a ‘musical gift’ to bring joy and energy.”
The 2023 Seoripul Festival will be held for two days from September 16 to 17 along Banpodaero. Under the theme ‘Seocho is the music,’ the festival will feature performances and participatory programs spanning various genres from classical to crossover and popular music.
